Reintroduce Teyana Taylor after a 5-year hiatus, building anticipation for her return without negative or speculative framing through a promotional post.

Insight

Her past success and cultural influence, including her connection with Kanye West, created a strong foundation to remind audiences of her reign. This nostalgia could be used to amplify anticipation for her comeback.

Objective

Position Escape Room as both a triumphant return and a cinematic experience. The goal was to build hype that bridged her legacy with a new era of artistry.

THE STRATEGY

The strategy was to reintroduce Teyana Taylor after five years by anchoring her past cultural impact, aligning her artistry with hip-hop’s sampling tradition, and building anticipation for Escape Room as both a cinematic and musical comeback.

Fade as Cultural Anchor

Used the iconic Fade video to remind audiences of Teyana’s past influence and set the stage for her comeback.

Applied my storytelling format of short, cinematic micro-stories to make the rollout feel native and scalable.
